Ok so the only thing I’m getting is women go out of their way to compromise and accommodate men but majority of men don’t compromise. They either chose stay silent until they snap or they just cheat… A lot of men don’t wanna compromise.

I haven’t been sexually active in 6 and a half years. It wasn’t intentional but at first after a mentally draining situation I went to therapy and wasn’t ready to date. That was from 2019-2022. Then we entered the pandemic and I’ve been a remote worker since then so I rarely get out to meet anyone in these past 6 years. I tried online dating here and there but it sucks. But now I can tell I’m starting to lose interest in sex or my sex drive has just greatly declined. I can’t tell if it’s coming on due to my age (41) or if it’s that I’ve gone without sex for so long. Im hoping that I can still be aroused for sex bc I do still desire to have that relationship with a man at some point but I can no longer lay down with a man who doesn’t care about me anymore. I can’t even imagine being turned on my such a man.

This is a powerful conversation. The celibate journey needs to be intentional through therapy, self help books, examining your family patterns, replacing bad habits with good habits where it becomes a natural default, also taking responsibility for how you show up in relationships: Have you been clingy & desperate or cold & unemotional. My point is don’t be celibate, just waiting around; letting time pass and your not growing and rediscovering a better life🌻💛

I noticed a lot of women saying men drain energy, or they just don't have a man to avoid the stress. But I have to be honest, that after being married for the last 14 plus years/5 beautiful humans later, I accept it. I accept that being in a relationship with another human being, they won't always do what I want and be who I want. I accept that my husband is not perfect, just as he accepts the same from me. I'm under no delusion that I am some Angelic being who never annoys anyone.😂 I accept that because of my personality, I will be frequently annoyed throughout my lifespan😢. In recognizing the fallibility of man, I'm just okay with that. I enjoy having a partner in life and crime and Im ok teaching (to an extent), offering grace, discussing, and helping him figure some shit out along the way. Hmm, maybe I even like it.

I only date men that are self sufficient and have a plethora of their own hobbies and activities. My bf and I have lots of seprate hobbies so we parallel play and that counts as quality time without direct interaction. He likes climbing so hes goes and does that and gets alone time, I like hiking, I go do that and get my alone time. We're also okay with just leaving for the day and giving whoever wants the house to themselves that space. Sometimes if I want alone time but he can't leave the house or dosnt feel like it he'll get me a hotel room in town with a nice juccizi tub and let me have a lil stay cation 💅🏻. Just find someone who works with you and also values alone time and individual activities. (Hint: autistic men are significantly better at this)

Gen Xer here, did tons of things since l was 8 yrs old. Oldest of 3, got home did chores bf starting dinner till my mom got home to finish the meal. Andcthen hadcto make homework was done. And my grandsmas doesnt live near by to go to. Seriously lady educate yourself.

I’m elder millennial about to turn 43, in the middle of perimenopause (smoking, ever, can kick that off early if you didn’t know) and I know I’m not in competition. Of course I can’t speak for everyone, maybe the women she’s talking about have their sex drives super charged with perimenopause (mine went the other way) and are divorced because they stopped taking all their previous partner’s crap. I don’t think they are trying to sabotage the young women though, that advice seems much more about looking back without the fog of hormones trying to get their human to reproduce, and seeing what happened to them in sharp, rage inducing clarity. We also can plainly see how desperate these patriarchal jerks are to dupe the inexperienced younger women into highly imbalanced partnerships so they can have their very own 3D human printer/maid/toy, but believing that people saying they love you would want to use you like that is hard to swallow when you haven’t seen it and/or lived it. It’s probably because the guys don’t think of using women like that, so they aren’t setting off the alarms, which is why the patriarchy is so insidious, default sets off no alarms.

I love my marriage. Being annoyed is inevitable in any relationship. What has helped the most on those day is meditating on my appreciation for him. Over time you start focusing on each others flaws and shortcomings. I’ve realized none of my husband weaknesses our deal breakers for me. It also helps that we both do our best to follow Bible principles. No matter how good it is with out God it wouldn’t work. Last thing, is to have good communication. Both must be willing to listen and make needed changes to benefit the relationship. If you have theses components then it’s worth it. Very rare though 😢

I am too introverted to be in a relationship. Men want constant texting, constant talking, and constant physical proximity. Wherever I go, they want to come along. Whatever I do, they want to join. I can't read a book or make my art in peace. I can't go out for a solo dinner without being accused of cheating. I can't silence my phone for a couple of hours without finding multiple angry messages and calls. I just can't anymore... Even the introverted men who didn't initially seem to need constant attention, eventually start acting like this.

The way to not get annoyed is to have your own life. Have a job, hobbies, friends, live your own life and come together when you need to. It’s unhealthy to spend all day with any one person and naturally you will get annoyed. Independence is key.

Once you accept and understand that there are things you will never understand, and thus will never change, you have reached a comfortable balance in your relationship. As a married man and a father of four, I don't get annoyed or peturbed with my wife. It's not always romance, there has to be a space to just be two friends existing and use that time to let the guard down and be honest. People seem to take things like criticism a bit better in the confines of a friendship than a romantic relationship - because in romantic relationships it feels more like rejection than constructive.

I love being in a long term relationship and now 3 years married. We met in our 20s and have built a life together, its amazing. We are best friends and we love spending time together. My husband is my safe space and I love having a person to come back to when life is super challenging and difficult ❤

My mother when she remarried never gave up her home and really only approached the process the 2nd time around as a business deal that she benefited from. When she divorced him, she didnt miss a beat. I use to think it was odd but now I am 100% for women doing this. I personally can't even date a man long term as I get annoyed, and I refuse to be a pretzel to "make it work" nah I would much rather focus on my career and life.

She is mistaken. A man isn't going to solve her loneliness. The honeymoon phase of dating might temporarily distract her from feeling lonely. But she'll end up feeling lonely in a relationship after a while. She needs some therapy and should learn to feel fulfilled on her own. Even her story reveals she went to an event with the sole purpose of meeting people, specifically a man. Its giving desperation for a relationship. She didn't do that event for her own genuine interest.

Older woman here…50 years old. Keep telling young women men drain their spiritual energy. Date and live in separate homes. If you get married, have separate rooms and bathrooms. Or second vacation home/cabin. Time apart from them is a must. They’re too demanding and needy. I prefer to be single and just hang out with them but I don’t really allow men to come into my personal space or home for long periods of time. They throw the harmony off.
